I like the list of comprehensive materials at the beginning. Sadly it's not comprehensive. There are other thing mentioned for use in some of the activities. The worst in my opinion is the glitter. It's terrible for the environment, and I have seen children get their eyes scratched by glitter, so have never allowed it in my house. Yes, I know there are alternatives, but most cost effective ones will dissolve in water/glue and therefor wouldn't work here.

Most of these activities are simple, easy and don't take a lot of time or preparation. But some of them are just too similar to be considered a separate activity. So I personally don't think you're getting 101 out of this.

The age range of 3-9 seems accurate, but I believe many of these could be used for kids even older. Especially kids with anxiety that impacts their quality of life.

The table of contents breaks things out into easy to choose types of activities, so if you're having a particular problem, it's easy to skip right to what will likely work best.

The resources, references & index in the back are all helpful guides to finding more information or directing you in the right directions for it.

2 of my children had a play therapist for speech, and motor skills issues when they were under 4. I think this is a good book to help continue to build on that as they get older.

While I did have some issues with this book, and was dismayed that some of the activities are easily found online, this is a good place to start when you need to tackle your whole relationship with your child. As it gives more than just the activities that work, but why they work and where you can go from there to continue strengthening your relationship with your child.

Fun book but some of the ideas are mediocre and found on pretty much every play website - which leads me to the cost and the effectiveness. Sometimes with these resources its better to find free ones than it is to pay for a book.

I wasn't super "wowed" by this book, but I still think it's a nice reference for ideas on playing together. We already do some of the suggested activities, but I found some of the activities to be great ideas, especially while we are currently in Kindergarten distance learning. I like how the book is laid out almost like a cookbook. There are step-by-step instructions for each activity and the book offers tips and suggestions to make the activity more engaging. It also mentions ideas for things to say that accompany the activities. I especially like the "Invisible Hurt" idea to help kids open up about their feelings.
