In my opinion as a behavior analyst, this book is written for professionals who have taken some advanced university courses specifically in behavior analysis. Its writing is concise, accurate, and terse. I found it invaluable when I was getting my masters in ABA, and still do now that I am a practitioner. It has a wealth of knowledge,but is more theory and less step-by-step.

For everyone, from ABA newbies to behavior analysts, I would recommend they look at

Behavioral Intervention for Young Children With Autism: A Manual for Parents and Professionals

. This book is based on sound science, avoids the jargon, and is a great go-to-book!
