This frustrated, lost mom is very thankful for this book. I am learning. But I most immediately appreciated the sense of validation I felt when reading passages that describe the craziness I feel in my own daily life. I feel like I have some control now that I have this book to formulate a game plan for helping my child and my family.
Also--the book is extremely readable, something for which I'm very grateful. I pretty much got through the whole thing in about two days
Finally, even though I found this book a little bit late, I have another child at home who does not have ADHD. I have to say that one of the beautiful things about the book is that the empathy and way of thinking that it fosters is extremely helpful to parents of all children. As I was reading through the chapters, I found myself thinking of my other child as well.
